Job Summary
Manage quantity take-offs, subcontractor and supplier sourcing, and oversee contract administration to ensure accurate costing, valuation, and project cash flow monitoring within construction projects.
Responsibilities
- Calculate quantities and source suitable sub-contractors and suppliers to meet project requirements
- Monitor and track change orders, sub-contractor drawing lists, and timely materials delivery to maintain project schedules
- Prepare quantity measurements, cost estimates, and tender submissions for both pre- and post-contract phases
- Evaluate and price contract variations, process claims, and monitor project cash flow to support financial control
- Administer project documentation including interim valuations, contract variation agreements, claim submissions, and final accounts preparation
- Assess and certify sub-contractor progress payments to ensure accurate and timely compensation
- Lead tendering processes for new construction projects, preparing comprehensive submissions independently
- Communicate and negotiate effectively with stakeholders to resolve issues and secure favorable contract terms
- Apply analytical and problem-solving skills to manage project challenges proactively while meeting tight deadlines
- Collaborate as a team player while maintaining meticulous attention to detail and independent work capability
Required competencies and certifications
- Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or equivalent
- Minimum 3 years of experience in the construction industry
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Knowledge of pre- and post-tender administration processes
