Commis – Urgent Hiring

YTJT Cafe is looking for a motivated and hardworking Commis to join our kitchen team. This is an urgent hiring position for candidates who are passionate about food preparation and working in a fast-paced cafe environment.

Job Responsibilities

• Assist with daily food preparation and kitchen operations.
• Prepare and cook food according to the cafe’s recipes and standards.
• Ensure food quality, consistency, presentation and portion control.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the kitchen and workstations.
• Ensure proper storage and handling of food ingredients.
• Assist in stock checking and kitchen inventory when required.
• Follow food safety, hygiene and workplace safety procedures.
• Work closely with the kitchen team to ensure smooth daily operations.
• Perform other kitchen duties as assigned by the Chef or Kitchen Supervisor.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a kitchen or food & beverage environment is preferred.
• Candidates with relevant culinary experience are encouraged to apply.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure.
• Responsible, punctual, disciplined and willing to learn.
• Good teamwork and communication skills.
• Able to work on weekends and public holidays.
• Must be willing to work on a shift basis.
