Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
· Perform incoming goods checking, inspection and functional testing of instruments and equipment.
· Assist with equipment preparation, configuration and testing before delivery or site deployment.
· Carry out basic diagnosis and troubleshooting of electrical and electronic instruments.
· Perform simple inspection, servicing and minor repair of instruments, cables, connectors and related components.
· Assist engineers with testing and commissioning of monitoring instruments and systems.
· Support site installation works, including mounting instruments, cable routing, wiring, termination and equipment connection.
· Troubleshoot equipment and system issues at customer sites.
· Assist with preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
· Use basic electrical/electronic test equipment such as multimeters and other diagnostic tools.
· Assist with checking power supplies, batteries, solar charging systems, communication cables and instrument connections.
· Maintain proper service, inspection and troubleshooting records.
· Prepare equipment and accessories for project deployment and delivery.
· Coordinate with engineers, project personnel and customers during installation and servicing works.
· Ensure tools, equipment and work areas are properly maintained and organised.
· Follow company safety procedures and customer site requirements.
Requirements
· Minimum Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Electrical & Electronic Engineering (EEE), Mechatronics, Computer Engineering, Instrumentation or a related technical discipline.
· Fresh graduates with relevant technical knowledge are welcome to apply.
· Candidates with 1-3 years of hands-on technical, maintenance, instrumentation or field service experience will have an advantage.
· Basic understanding of electrical and electronic circuits.
· Able to read basic wiring diagrams and perform electrical connections.
· Comfortable using hand tools and electrical test equipment.
· Perform hands-on work and outdoor/site installation work.
· Able to troubleshoot technical problems systematically.
· Able to work independently as well as with engineers and project teams.
· Basic computer knowledge is required.
Advantageous Skills
Experience or familiarity with any of the following would be an advantage, although training can be provided:
· Environmental or scientific instrumentation
· Sensors and data acquisition systems
· RS485 / RS232 / Modbus communications
· Data loggers and IoT devices
· 12V / 24V DC electrical systems
· Batteries and solar-powered systems
· Control panels and electrical wiring
· Basic networking and IP configuration
· Linux or Raspberry Pi systems
· Field instrumentation installation and troubleshooting
Pay: $3,000.00 - $3,600.00 per month
Work Location: In person
