Role Description The Event Assistant is a full-time, on-site position based in WP Kuala Lumpur. This role supports the planning, coordination, and execution of company events, including seminars, workshops, client appreciation activities, and internal functions. Day-to-day responsibilities include assisting with event logistics, preparing materials, coordinating with vendors and venue staff, managing registrations and attendee communications, and providing on-site support during events. The Event Assistant will also help maintain event calendars, track budgets, and contribute ideas to improve event experiences for clients and team members. Collaboration with internal departments and clear communication are key aspects of this role.

Qualifications

  • Candidates should possess strong Event Planning and Event Management skills to support end-to-end event coordination.
  • Candidates should possess excellent Customer Service and Communication skills to interact professionally with clients, vendors, and colleagues.
  • Candidates should possess solid Organization Skills to manage multiple tasks, deadlines, and event-related documentation.
  • Candidates should ideally have experience in corporate or professional services events; experience in financial services is an advantage.
  • Candidates should be proficient in basic office software (e.g., word processing, spreadsheets, presentation tools) and comfortable working with event registration or CRM systems.
  • Candidates should demonstrate reliability, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team in an on-site environment.
  • A diploma or degree in Event Management, Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field is preferred, or equivalent relevant experience.
