Job Purpose
To ensure the safety and security of the company’s premises, employees, customers, assets, and facilities by maintaining effective security procedures, monitoring activities, and responding promptly to security incidents.
Key Responsibilities
Security & Surveillance
- Monitor and control access to company premises, including employees, visitors, contractors, and vehicles.
- Conduct regular patrols of the premises to identify security risks, suspicious activities, or safety hazards.
- Monitor CCTV and other security systems where applicable.
- Ensure security procedures are followed at all times.
- Prevent unauthorized access, theft, vandalism, and other security-related incidents.
Incident Management
- Respond promptly to security incidents, emergencies, and suspicious activities.
- Prepare and maintain accurate incident, patrol, and security reports.
- Assist in emergency response, evacuation, and crowd control when required.
- Cooperate with police, fire department, or other authorities when necessary.
- Prepare detailed incident reports for any security incidents, accidents, suspicious activities, theft, damage, or other irregularities occurring within the premises.
- Ensure all incident reports are accurate, complete, and submitted promptly to the Management.
- Record relevant details such as the date, time, location, persons involved, description of the incident, actions taken, and supporting evidence (if applicable).
- Follow up on incidents as instructed and provide additional information or clarification when required.
Access & Asset Control
- Verify identification and authorization of visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel.
- Monitor the movement of company assets and equipment in and out of the premises.
- Conduct checks in accordance with company security procedures.
- Maintain proper records of visitors, vehicles, and security-related activities.
General Duties
- Maintain a professional, alert, and customer-friendly approach while on duty.
- Ensure security equipment and facilities are kept in good working condition.
- Comply with company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
- Perform other security-related duties as assigned by the Manager.
Job Requirements
- Minimum SPM or equivalent.
- Previous experience in security, loss prevention, enforcement, or a related field is an advantage.
- Physically fit and able to stand, walk, and conduct regular patrols for extended periods.
- Able to work on shift, weekends, public holidays, and overtime when required.
- Good observation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Responsible, disciplined, alert, and trustworthy.
- Able to remain calm and act appropriately during emergencies or challenging situations.
- Basic computer skills for reporting and record-keeping are an advantage.
Pay: RM2,000.00 - RM3,500.00 per month
