Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Data Specialist role based in Kuala Lumpur. The Data Specialist will work with large datasets to ensure data quality, consistency, and usability across TecAlliance’s platforms. Day-to-day tasks include collecting, cleaning, and validating data, performing data analysis to generate insights, and supporting data modeling activities to improve data structures. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements, documenting data processes and standards, and contributing to the continuous improvement of data management practices. The Data Specialist will also help identify opportunities to optimize data workflows and support reporting and dashboard initiatives.
Qualifications
  • Candidates should possess strong Data Analytics and Data Analysis skills to interpret complex datasets and derive actionable insights.
  • Candidates should possess solid Data Management capabilities to collect, clean, validate, and maintain high-quality data.
  • Candidates should possess sound Data Modeling skills to design and optimize data structures that support scalable solutions.
  • Candidates should possess excellent Analytical Skills, with attention to detail and the ability to solve data-related problems.
  • Proficiency in data tools and technologies (e.g., SQL, Excel, BI tools; experience with Python or R is a plus).
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience in the automotive or Independent Aftermarket domain is an advantage, as is familiarity with industry data standards.
