Face-to-Face Fundraiser — WWF-Malaysia
Fresh grads welcome. Seasoned talkers welcome too. Direct hire — not an agency gig.
Why This Beats an Agency Job
Here is something completely new: this role has never been open to the public before.
Until now, WWF-Malaysia’s face-to-face fundraisers were entirely agency-employed. No matter how talented you were, you never had the chance to join WWF’s internal team directly. We are changing that by building our very own in-house fundraising team from the ground up for the first time.
Most street fundraising jobs treat you like a temp. You sit on an outside agency's payroll, pitching whatever charity happens to be on their client roster that month—one cause today, a totally different one next month. You are a face for hire, not part of the mission.
At WWF-Malaysia, you work for WWF. Period. You get one clear mission you can actually believe in, real training from people who know the work inside out, and a genuine seat inside one of the world's most recognized conservation organizations. This is not a rotating gig; it is a career you can be proud of, and you would be among the very first people to hold this title.
The Work You Do Actually Matters — A Lot
Here is a number that changes how you see this job: face-to-face fundraising makes up more than half of WWF-Malaysia's total conservation funding.
This is not a nice-to-have side hustle—it is our absolute backbone. Every single conversation you have on the floor directly funds real conservation work happening across Malaysia. You are not just hitting a sales target; you are the reason vital ecological work gets off the ground.
A Day in the Life
You are never doing this alone. You are joining a tight-knit team projected to triple in size over the next three years. That means fresh energy, plenty of support, and peers who truly understand the job because they are living it right beside you. Good days get celebrated together, tough days get talked through, and as the team grows, so does your network of mentors and teammates.
What You'll Actually Do
Real Training That Grows With You
You start with structured, comprehensive training before you ever step foot on the floor solo. This includes practical role-plays so you can master real conversations, navigate objections, and handle rejections in a safe space before facing them live. You will also be fully briefed on WWF’s actual conservation projects, meaning you are never reading from a lifeless script—you genuinely know what you are raising money for.
This is just the baseline. As your skills sharpen, you will receive continuous, ongoing coaching to help you master your craft.
A Career Path With Real Milestones
This role offers a genuine trajectory, not just a monthly paycheck:
- Specialize deeper into advanced fundraising. move into management to run your own team.
- Pivot into other fundraising support roles like training, quality assurance, or administrative and event support.
- Explore non-fundraising positions elsewhere within WWF (subject to availability and suitability).
Because our team is set to triple in size over the next three years, these openings are frequent and accessible. As the organization expands, the new leadership and specialist roles need to be filled—and the people best positioned to take them are those already proving themselves on the floor.
What You'll Earn
- You are a WWF staff. That means you get full employee perks: birthday leave, festive leave, and trips to real conservation sites.
- Consistent daily schedules with built-in rest breaks.

The WWF Difference
You get the uncapped commissions and performance bonuses that agencies love to advertise—plus medical, dental, and optical coverage that they usually skip. More importantly, you are WWF staff from day one.
You aren't just working for the brand; you are a core member of the team, unlocking exclusive perks reserved strictly for internal WWF-Malaysia staff—perks that our fundraising agencies simply cannot offer – like having access directly to WWF-Malaysia conservation sites, to experience first hand what you are fundraising for.
Ready to Make Every Conversation Count?
This is a brand-new chapter for WWF-Malaysia—the first time this door has ever been opened directly to the public. Be one of the first to walk through it.
