1. Position Summary
We are looking for a Software Engineer to join our team and contribute to a major project within the semiconductor manufacturing domain. The role involves supporting SiView (MES) development, building software interfaces, and automating critical manufacturing processes. This position is based on-site at our partner’s advanced manufacturing facility, offering hands-on exposure to large-scale industrial software systems.
2. Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain applications using C++ and C# to interface with SiView and other enterprise software systems.
- Develop and implement software solutions to automate manufacturing processes, system workflows, and manual tasks.
- Support the continuous development, customization, and troubleshooting of the SiView Manufacturing Execution System (MES).
- Write, implement, and optimize database logic, including complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and functions to support software applications.
- Integrate various software components and ensure seamless communication between different manufacturing systems.
- Identify opportunities to improve system performance, software reliability, and operational efficiency through automation.
- Partner with internal and external stakeholders to gather requirements and ensure timely, high-quality software delivery for business use.
- Provide technical support, issue resolution, and performance tuning for production software systems.
- Maintain comprehensive technical documentation for developed software, system interfaces, and automated processes.
- Perform any ad-hoc duties assigned by the Company as and when required.
3. Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in software engineering, system automation, or MES development.
- Strong proficiency in C++ and C# programming languages.
- Working experience with relational databases (e.g., SQL Server) and SQL querying skills.
- Proven ability to design and build software interfaces (APIs, system-to-system integrations) and automate processes.
- Analytical and problem-solving mindset with strict attention to software quality and performance.
- Ability to work collaboratively with business, IT, and engineering teams in fast-paced environments.
- Excellent documentation and communication skills.
