Embedded Device Engineer – C++
Job Summary
We are looking for an Embedded Device Engineer – C++ to develop, certify, and optimize mobile devices for network testing solutions. The role focuses on C/C++, Android, chipset integration, device qualification, and troubleshooting.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform device TEMSification, bootloader unlocking, Magisk patching, licensing, and testing.
- Certify new devices from Samsung, Xiaomi, OnePlus, Motorola, and Zebra.
- Develop Android ODM modules using Java/Kotlin.
- Develop C/C++ components for TEMS Pocket/Sense.
- Implement Qualcomm, MediaTek, and Samsung chipset features.
- Use QXDM and vendor diagnostic tools for modem troubleshooting.
- Analyze network signaling, RF performance, and device measurements.
- Troubleshoot device issues affecting measurement accuracy.
- Maintain device qualification procedures and testing tools.
- Support customer escalations and device-related technical issues.
- Use Python, Git, and GitHub Actions for automation and development.
Required Qualifications
- Degree in Telecommunications, Electronics, Computer Engineering, or related field.
- Strong C/C++ development experience.
- Experience with Java/Kotlin and Android development.
- Knowledge of Android internals, rooting, Magisk, and bootloader unlocking.
- Understanding of LTE, 5G NR, and 3GPP protocols.
- Experience with embedded systems or USB communication.
- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Qualcomm QXDM, MediaTek, or Samsung Exynos.
- Experience with TEMS, Nemo, or network testing tools.
- Background in mobile network testing, RF optimization, or benchmarking.
- Experience with Magisk modules or custom Android systems.
- Knowledge of modem diagnostics, PCAP, iPerf, or ALSA.
