Business Development Manager – Freight Forwarding

Job Summary

We are looking for a Business Development Manager with strong experience in freight forwarding sales to grow our business in the Malaysian market.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop new customers and generate business leads across Malaysia.
• Achieve monthly and annual sales targets.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers.
• Handle sales for Sea Freight, Air Freight, Import & Export services.
• Prepare quotations, negotiate rates, and close deals.
• Identify new business opportunities and expand the customer base.
• Follow up with potential and existing customers regularly.
• Coordinate with the operations team to ensure smooth service delivery.
• Monitor market trends and competitor activities.
• Maintain sales reports and provide regular updates to management.

Requirements

5+ years of relevant experience in freight forwarding sales.

• Strong knowledge of the Malaysia freight forwarding and logistics market.
• Proven track record in business development and achieving sales targets.
• Existing customer/network contacts in Malaysia will be an advantage.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
• Strong customer relationship management skills.
• Self-motivated, proactive, and target-oriented.
• Immediate joiners are highly preferred.
