Role Description The Junior Software Developer is a full-time, on-site role based in Petaling Jaya. This role involves assisting in the design, development, testing, and maintenance of software applications, primarily focused on web and back-end systems. Day-to-day tasks include writing clean and efficient code, debugging and troubleshooting issues, reviewing code with senior developers, and contributing to technical documentation. The developer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements, implement new features, and improve existing systems. The role also includes learning and applying best practices, participating in code reviews, and supporting deployment activities under the guidance of more experienced team members.

Qualifications

• Solid foundation in Computer Science concepts, including data structures, algorithms, and software engineering principles.
• Working knowledge of Programming and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), with experience in at least one modern programming language (e.g., Java, C#, Python, or JavaScript).
• Basic experience or coursework in Software Development, including version control, testing, and debugging practices.
• Exposure to or interest in Back-End Web Development, such as building APIs, working with databases, or using server-side frameworks.
• Bachelor’s degree (completed or in progress) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Ability to learn quickly, follow technical guidance, and work collaboratively within a team environment.
• Effective communication skills and attention to detail in both coding and documentation.
• Familiarity with agile methodologies, cloud platforms, or DevOps tools is an advantage but not required.
