About the Opportunity

Our client is a well-established multinational manufacturing and technology organization with a global footprint across multiple regions. They are seeking a R2R Senior Executive (Korean Speaker) to join their Shared Services Centre in Kuala Lumpur.

This role offers exposure to end-to-end Record-to-Report (R2R) activities, including intercompany accounting, fixed assets, reconciliations, month-end closing, master data management, and finance transformation initiatives. Key Responsibilities



Record-to-Report Operations

  • Process intercompany (IC) vendor invoices and intercompany payment collections accurately and on a timely basis.
  • Prepare payment proposals for intercompany transactions and follow up with internal customers on outstanding balances.
  • Perform expense accruals, provisions, payroll-related adjustments, and other journal entries required for month-end closing.
  • Ensure timely completion of month-end closing activities in collaboration with local finance teams.

Reconciliation & Reporting

  • Prepare and complete balance sheet reconciliations and supporting schedules.
  • Deliver financial reporting and reconciliations in accordance with established timelines and internal requirements.
  • Investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies and outstanding items.

Master Data Management

  • Create, maintain, and update vendor and customer master data records.
  • Ensure master data accuracy and compliance with internal governance requirements.

Fixed Assets Accounting

  • Create and maintain Construction-in-Progress (CIP) assets.
  • Support asset capitalization, transfers, and fixed asset accounting activities.
  • Assist with asset-related reporting and reconciliations.

Process Migration & Documentation

  • Support the transition and migration of finance processes into the Shared Services environment.
  • Prepare, maintain, and continuously update process documentation, work instructions, and standard operating procedures.
  • Participate in knowledge transfer activities and process standardization initiatives.

Continuous Improvement & Digitalization

  • Support process optimization, automation, digitalization, and RPA initiatives.
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, controls, and service delivery.
  • Assist with ad hoc finance projects, reporting requirements, and operational support as assigned.

Requirements



Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
  • Fresh graduates with relevant academic background are encouraged to apply.

Experience

  • 1 to 3 years of experience in Finance, Accounting, Record-to-Report (R2R), General Ledger, Fixed Assets, or Shared Services operations.
  • Experience in an SSC, BPO, or multinational environment would be advantageous.
  • Fresh graduates with strong language capabilities and accounting knowledge will also be considered.

Technical Skills

  • Basic understanding of:

    • General Ledger Accounting
    • Intercompany Accounting
    • Fixed Assets Accounting
    • Month-End Closing
    • Reconciliations
    • Accruals and Journal Entries
  • Exposure to ERP systems such as:

    • SAP
    • SAP S/4HANA
    • Oracle ERP
    • Other enterprise accounting systems
  • Good Microsoft Excel skills.

Language Requirements

  • Professional proficiency in English (written and spoken).
  • Professional proficiency in Korean (written and spoken) to support Korean-speaking stakeholders and business operations.
  • Proficiency in Vietnamese is required to support regional stakeholders and business activities across the Vietnam market.
