Role Description The Field Services Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Subang Jaya. This role involves installing, commissioning, and testing automation equipment such as packaging and labeling machines at customer facilities. The Field Services Engineer will perform troubleshooting, repairs, and preventive maintenance to ensure reliable operation and minimal downtime. Daily tasks include responding to service requests, providing technical support, documenting service activities, and preparing basic service reports. The role also requires close collaboration with customers to explain technical issues, provide training on equipment use and safety, and ensure a positive service experience. The Field Services Engineer will work with internal teams to escalate complex issues, support continuous improvement, and contribute feedback on product performance in the field.

Qualifications

  • On-site equipment installation, commissioning, and repair.
  • Experience providing technical support to customers, both in person and remotely.
  • Knowledge of preventive maintenance practices to maintain equipment reliability and performance.
  • Diploma or degree in engineering (mechanical, electrical, mechatronics, or related field) or equivalent practical experience.
  • Ability to read technical drawings, manuals, and schematics; familiarity with industrial automation is an advantage.
  • Willingness to travel to customer sites and work in industrial environments as needed.
  • Good problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and capability to work independently and in a team.
  • Basic computer skills for reporting and documentation; proficiency with MS Office or similar tools.
