Job Description

• Lead engineering and industrialisation projects from planning through execution
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, quality and efficiency
• Develop and standardise manufacturing processes, procedures and best practices
• Analyse production performance and implement process improvement solutions
• Support new product and material introduction into production
• Manage engineering resources, project priorities and departmental budgets
• Lead, coach and develop a team of engineering professionals
• Collaborate with Production, Quality and Supply Chain teams on operational initiatives
• Monitor production efficiency, yield improvement and quality performance
• Support plant expansion, equipment upgrades and capital projects
• Ensure compliance with safety, engineering and regulatory requirements
  
  

The Successful Applicant

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related discipline
• Minimum 5 years of engineering experience within a manufacturing environment
• Proven experience managing and developing engineering teams
• Strong knowledge of engineering and process improvement methodologies
• Experience with manufacturing equipment, production processes and automation
• Exposure to rubber, plastic, hoses or related industries is advantageous
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing and productivity improvement tools
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and AutoCAD
• Strong project management, problem-solving and analytical skills
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
• Proactive leadership style with a continuous improvement mindset
