An ElectricalMaintenance Engineer ensures the safe, reliable, and efficient operation ofplant machinery, power distribution networks, and electrical systems. Theyminimize equipment downtime by executing preventive maintenance schedules,diagnosing electrical faults, and overseeing rapid repairs on industrialautomation, control panels, and high/low voltage systems.
KeyResponsibilities
- Maintenance Execution: Perform routine preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance on motors, drives, switchgear, and transformers.
- Fault Diagnosis: Troubleshoot complex electrical issues in PLCs, VFDs, control circuits, and automated production machinery using testing tools.
- System Upkeep: Monitor HT/LT power distribution, APFC panels, UPS systems, and earthing networks.
- Safety & Compliance: Enforce strict electrical safety measures, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) protocols and statutory plant regulations.
- Documentation: Keep detailed logs of equipment history, maintenance checklists, and spare parts inventory
Required Skills& Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience: 2 to 5 years of hands-on industrial or manufacturing plant experience.
- Technical Knowledge: Strong command of industrial automation, reading electrical schematics, and using diagnostic gear (multimeters, meggers).
- Soft Skills: Quick analytical problem-solving under pressure, teamwork, and cross-department communication.
