Job Description

Responsibilities

The Opportunity: 

Responsible for supporting payroll governance and administration activities across APAC (excluding Manufacturing). This role coordinates payroll processes, vendor interactions, reporting, documentation and controls to ensure payroll activities are delivered accurately, consistently and in accordance with regional standards.

The Payroll Coordinator supports payroll governance initiatives and assists with process harmonisation, compliance monitoring and payroll transformation activities.

Payroll includes salary, tax, attendance, benefits etc.

What Your Impact Will Be: 

Payroll Administration

  • In charge of end-to-end payroll activities with local payroll vendors.
  • Ensure timely compliant attendance management (if applicable)
  • Support payroll processing timelines and payroll calendars.
  • Monitor payroll inputs and documentation requirements.
  • Review and ensure complaint monthly and annual tax fillings, and necessary corrections.
  • Assist with payroll-related employee and manager inquiries.
  • Ensure timely updates in payroll system and conduct regular data audit

Governance & Compliance

  • Understand local regulation/policy updates and ensure timely reflection
  • Maintain payroll process documentation and operating procedures.
  • Support payroll audits and compliance reviews.
  • Monitor payroll controls and escalate risks or issues.

Reporting & Data Management

  • Prepare payroll reports, metrics and reconciliations.
  • Maintain payroll records and supporting documentation.
  • Support data quality reviews and payroll validation activities.
  • Support request from accounting/finance department on reports and data validation.

Vendor Coordination

  • Liaise with payroll vendors regarding payroll activities and service issues.
  • Track vendor performance and service delivery requirements.
  • Support resolution of payroll-related issues.

Transformation / project Support

  • Assist with payroll standardisation initiatives.
  • Support payroll system enhancement and Dayforce readiness activities.
  • Participate in process improvement and automation projects.

Others

  • Other tasks assigned by the line manager.

What We’re Looking For: 

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related discipline.

Work Experience

  • 2–4 years of payroll, finance, HR operations or administration experience.
  • Experience supporting payroll processes preferred.
  • Experience working with HRIS or payroll systems preferred.
  • Experience working with outsourced payroll vendors preferred.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Understanding of payroll processes and payroll administration.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong organisational and coordination skills.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Ability to work across multiple stakeholders and markets.
  • Experience with payroll systems, Dayforce or Workday preferred.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
