About the Role
The role of the IT Project Manager is to plan, execute and finalize IT-related projects according to strict deadlines and within budget. This includes acquiring resources and coordinating the effort and expectations of stakeholders, project team, third party contractors, supplier and/or consultants to ensure successful project delivery.
The role will also define the project objective and oversee quality control throughout its life cycle.
What will you do:
- Manage several projects through the full project life cycle from the strategic project planning, execution and on to tactical activities.
- Project planning, timeline tracking, Scope management, financial planning, tracking and change management.
- Define and govern IT project life cycle, waterfall / Agile
- Identify project issues and risks.
- Ensure IT risk and audit items are managed and completed in a timely manner.
- Ensure projects are well defined, aligned to business goals, well documented, and appropriately reported
- Ensure all risks and issues are understood, raised, prioritized, and escalated (if appropriate) with sufficient time to enable resolution &/or independent decisions to be made End to End Project management and delivering project success.
- Working with all internal and external partners/vendors to interpret and understand impacts of the evolving regulatory landscape.
- Working with other business leaders and subject matter experts to analyze business impact, identify how this changing regulatory landscape will affect the project and define options to achieve compliance.
- Set-up and drive cross functional project team to design and implement solutions.
- Ability to extract information, at all levels of the organization (individual contributor to senior management), to identify core problems/needs.
- Ability to write system requirement specifications to include use cases, data models, assumptions, and mock-ups, when necessary.
- Vendor management across whole project/cross project.
- Complete and provide necessary reports as required for different committees / needs of management.
- Manage Project staff/ resources (if any)
Skills, certifications and experience you possess:
- Bachelor's degree in any related field.
- Proven project management experience.
- Ability to manage multiple projects at a time.
- Good knowledge in Banking, Data / System Migration and BNM regulations.
