Full Time Mechanical Design Engineer Jobs, in Tomtek Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. Selangor - Maukerja

Key Responsibilities

• Involved in the mechanical design of building services systems, including HVAC, plumbing, fire protection and related mechanical systems, for commercial and data centre projects.
• Design and develop mechanical systems for buildings, ensuring compliance with local and international codes and sustainability practices.
• Prepare load calculations, equipment sizing, system layouts, technical specifications and detailed drawings.
• Use design software such as AutoCAD, Revit MEP, HAP and Carrier tools for system modelling and coordination.
• Prepare documentation for tendering, cost estimation and procurement support.
• Conduct site visits for inspections, testing, commission support and contractor liaison.
• Participate in project planning and coordination meetings, and support the Project Manager in managing timelines, deliverables and budgets.
• Learn and contribute to data centre-specific MEP design, including precision cooling, redundancy planning and energy-efficient systems.
• Gain exposure to mechanical systems used in industrial and factory settings, including process HVAC, compressed air systems and heavy-duty ventilation.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• At least 2-5 years of hands-on experience in mechanical design for MEP Building services.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD, Revit, or similar design tools.
• Strong technical skills in HVAC, plumbing and fire protection design.
• Proactive attitude with a desire to learn project management and coordination.
• Interest in advanced infrastructure projects such as data centres and industrial facilities.
• Able to commute to Petaling Jaya for work.
• Able to travel to project sites as required for site visits, inspections and project coordination
