Full Time Back End Developer (Java Spring Boot) Jobs, in PowTech Federal Territory - Maukerja

PowTech Solution (M) Sdn Bhd is an IT solutions provider delivering dedicated project teams, led by an experienced Team Leader, to clients across sectors including automatic control, energy, transport, industry, healthcare, and banking.

What you'll be working on:

• Building and maintaining RESTful APIs using Java and Spring Boot
• Working with message queues (Kafka or similar) to decouple services and handle traffic spikes
• Implementing retry logic with backoff, and dead-letter queue handling for failed messages
• Writing transaction-safe code for financial data, including row-level locking and atomic updates to prevent race conditions
• Applying idempotency patterns to prevent duplicate processing
• Following data handling standards for sensitive financial information, including safe logging practices
• Working with caching patterns (cache-aside) to improve performance at scale

What we're looking for:

• Solid hands-on experience with Java and Spring Boot in production
• Real understanding of distributed systems concepts: queues, retries, DLQs, idempotency, not just familiarity with the terms
• Comfort with relational databases and transaction management
• Ability to write clean, working code under time pressure, not just explain concepts
• Hands-on experience with AWS (e.g. EC2, S3, API Gateway) is a plus
