- Write regular news stories and features on luxury lifestyle topics, including watches and jewellery, travel, fashion, dining, culture and profiles.
- Pitch original story ideas and develop compelling editorial angles that are relevant to the luxury sector.
- Keep abreast of developments, trends and conversations in the luxury, lifestyle and entertainment space across digital, social and industry platforms.
- Conduct interviews and research, as well as gather and verify factual information for stories.
- Maintain the highest standards of journalism, adhere to editorial guidelines and file clean, accurate copy on deadline.
- Contribute to digital storytelling across platforms, including working with photo, video and social formats where required.
- At least 3 years of relevant editorial experience in lifestyle, luxury, fashion, travel, culture or entertainment journalism.
- Strong writing, editing and communication skills in English, with the ability to write clearly, accurately and with flair.
- Strong news sense and editorial judgment, with a good understanding of current lifestyle, luxury, cultural and entertainment trends locally and internationally.
- Proven ability to pitch and deliver original stories, from short-form news pieces to longer features and profiles.
- Familiarity with digital publishing and social media trends, and a clear understanding of how audiences consume lifestyle content online.
- Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment and perform well under pressure in a fast-paced newsroom environment.
- Strong network of relevant industry contacts and sources that can help generate original story ideas and access.
- Experience with basic photo or video shooting and editing is an advantage.
