Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Sewer Construction Supervisor to oversee daily sewer construction activities and site operations. The candidate will be responsible for supervising workers, coordinating site activities, ensuring proper installation and maintaining safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise daily sewer pipe laying and sewer construction works.

Coordinate workers, subcontractors and site activities.

Monitor sewer pipe installation, alignment, levels, connections and manhole construction.

Read and understand construction drawings, specifications and method statements.

Coordinate with Project Managers, Engineers, surveyors and other site personnel.

Conduct site measurements and monitor work progress.

Ensure works are carried out according to approved drawings and project requirements.

Monitor excavation, shoring, bedding, pipe laying, backfilling and reinstatement works.

Ensure proper construction of sewer manholes and related structures.

Ensure compliance with Singapore WSH requirements and site safety procedures.

Check materials, tools and equipment before work commencement.

Prepare daily work progress and site reports.

Coordinate with consultants, clients and other contractors when required.

Maintain good housekeeping and safe working conditions.

Report site issues, delays and safety concerns to management.

Perform other duties assigned by management.

Job Requirements

• Minimum 2–3 years of relevant sewer/civil construction experience.
• Experience in sewer pipe laying, manhole construction and underground utility works preferred.
• Able to read and understand civil/sewer construction drawings.
• Good knowledge of site levels, pipe alignment and construction methods.
• Experience with excavation, shoring, pipe laying and road reinstatement works.
• Good leadership and manpower management skills.
• Familiar with Singapore construction site safety requirements.
• Able to work independently and under pressure.
• Willing to work overtime, weekends, public holidays and continuous shifts when required.
• Singapore construction experience will be an advantage.
