Responsibilities
We are looking for an experienced and technically competent Project Manager – Technical to lead and manage the implementation of TNB-related technical projects.
The successful candidate will manage projects from planning and mobilisation through implementation, testing, commissioning, handover, and project closure.
Key ResponsibilitiesPlan and manage the full project lifecycle from initiation to completion.
Develop project plans, schedules, milestones, work programmes, and resource requirements.
Monitor project progress, timelines, deliverables, budget, quality, and project requirements.
Review technical specifications, drawings, method statements, work procedures, and project requirements.
Provide technical direction to project engineers, technical teams, contractors, and site personnel.
Coordinate installation, configuration, testing, commissioning, integration, and handover activities.
Act as the key project contact for TNB representatives and project stakeholders.
Coordinate with consultants, contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, vendors, and internal teams.
Conduct site inspections and monitor contractor performance and work progress.
Monitor project costs, manpower, materials, resources, variations, and claims.
Identify and manage project risks, issues, delays, defects, and non-conformities.
Prepare project progress reports, dashboards, meeting minutes, technical submissions, and project documentation.
Coordinate testing, commissioning, final inspection, acceptance, handover, and project close-out.
Lead and coordinate project engineers, site teams, contractors, and other project personnel.
Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Electrical & Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in project management, preferably in engineering, electrical, ICT, infrastructure, utilities, or technical projects.
Experience managing large-scale technical projects is highly preferred.
Experience with TNB, utility companies, government agencies, GLCs, or major infrastructure projects is an advantage.
Strong knowledge of technical project implementation, site coordination, testing, commissioning, and handover.
Strong understanding of project scheduling, risk management, quality control, and cost monitoring.
Experience managing contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and technical teams.
Strong communication, leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office.
Knowledge of Microsoft Project or similar project scheduling software is an advantage.
PMP, CAPM, or relevant project management certification is an advantage.
Willing to travel and work at project sites.
Possess own transportation.
