Role Description

Position: Accounts Executive

Employment Type: 6-Month Contract

Location: Nilai, Negeri Sembilan

Department: Finance

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and responsible Accounts Executive to support our Finance team on a 6-month contract. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing day-to-day accounting activities and supporting the full-set accounting function, month-end closing, reporting, audit and tax-related matters.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle full-set accounting and daily accounting transactions.
• Manage Accounts Payable (AP) 
• Perform bank reconciliation and account reconciliation.
• Maintain General Ledger (GL) and prepare journal entries.
• Prepare month-end closing and ensure timely completion.
• Prepare Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet.
• Assist with external audit and provide supporting documents and schedules.
• Liaise with external auditors, tax agents and other relevant parties.
• Assist with tax and statutory-related matters, where applicable.
• Maintain proper accounting records and documentation.
• Ensure accounting transactions are accurate and comply with company procedures.
• Perform other finance and accounting duties as assigned.

Requirements & Qualification

• Degree in Accounting
• Minimum 2–3 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Hands-on experience in full-set accounting is preferred.
• Good understanding of AP, GL, bank reconciliation and month-end closing.
• Experience in audit and tax matters will be an advantage.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
• Strong attention to detail, organised and able to meet deadlines.
• Able to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
• Good communication and problem-solving skills.
