Role Overview
The Facility Technician is responsible for supporting the day-to-day operation, maintenance, safety, and functionality of commercial facilities under the Property Management team. The role ensures building systems, equipment, common areas, and essential services remain operational, safe, and well maintained.

1. Perform Preventive and Corrective Maintenance
- Conduct routine inspections and scheduled maintenance of building systems, equipment, fixtures, and facilities.
- Identify defects, abnormalities, and potential equipment failures and take appropriate corrective action.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, service reports, and equipment history for operational tracking.
2. Monitor Building Facilities and Equipment
- Monitor the condition and performance of electrical, mechanical, plumbing, air-conditioning, lighting, and other building-related systems.
- Conduct regular checks of common areas, plant rooms, service areas, and other facility spaces.
- Escalate major defects, recurring issues, and equipment abnormalities to the Facility or Building Manager.
3. Respond to Facility Faults and Breakdown
- Attend to tenant and building-related maintenance requests within the required response timeframe.
- Troubleshoot basic technical problems and carry out repairs where appropriate and within the technician's competency.
- Coordinate with approved contractors or specialist service providers for issues requiring additional technical expertise.
4. Support Building Safety and Compliance
- Conduct routine checks to identify unsafe conditions, damaged equipment, potential hazards, and facility-related risks.
- Support inspections and testing of safety-related systems and equipment, including emergency lighting, fire protection systems, and other building safety facilities.
- Report safety concerns promptly and support corrective actions to maintain a safe environment for occupants and visitors.
5. Manage Contractors and Maintenance Service Providers
- Assist in coordinating contractors for scheduled maintenance, repair works, and specialist services.
- Monitor contractors' work to ensure activities are conducted safely, professionally, and in accordance with approved requirements.
- Verify completed works and report outstanding defects or unsatisfactory workmanship to the Facility or Building Manager.
Pay: From RM2,400.00 per month
