• Evaluate credit applications and perform credit checks on new and existing customers.
• Manage and liaise with credit insurance to ensure customers' credit limits in place
• Assess and prepare internal approvals for credit limits when necessary
• Conduct credit risk analysis and regularly review customer portfolios to minimize bad debt and optimize

receivables

• Handle disputes and negotiate payment arrangements with delinquent customers to recover outstanding

debts

• Ensure credit control processes and procedures are in compliance with company standards and polices
• Supervise the credit control team and work closely with clients and internal business units to resolve dispute
• Timely collections and reduce exposure to potential bad debt
• Recommends to stop delivery to customers who fail to pay promptly
• Recommends to take legal action against problematic customers
• Update the management any credit related development in order to mitigate the credit risk
• Degree or Diploma in Business / Commerce or related field
• Minimum 8 years of experience in a similar function and 3-5 years of managerial experience
• Strong understanding of credit control policies, contact and business law
• Knowledgeable about current economic outlook and situation and kept abreast of overall market credit

performance

• Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills
