Job Description
We are looking for a Dies Quality Engineer to support the quality and smooth progress of die fabrication projects. You will work closely with internal teams, die makers and customers to ensure dies are completed according to the required specifications, quality standards and schedule.
Key Responsibilities
- Follow up with the Internal Design Team from kick-off to ensure the Dies Design & Kaizen activities are completed smoothly.
- Prepare schedules and monitor Dies fabrication progress to ensure projects are well managed and organised by the CED team.
- Coordinate closely with BBD, QA and Production to provide updates and ensure the die fabrication process progresses according to schedule.
- Liaise with Dies Makers / Suppliers to ensure dies are completed within the required timeline and provide the necessary information to support their work.
- Assist the BBD and QA teams in handling customer-related matters and follow up on customer requirements related to dies.
- Ensure dies are in good condition and ready for production, including checking and coordinating the required measurements before handover to Production.
- Monitor and follow up on any quality issues, delays or discrepancies related to die fabrication and coordinate corrective actions with the relevant parties.
- Maintain proper communication and documentation throughout the die fabrication process.
Requirements
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality Engineering, Tool & Die Engineering or a related field.
- Experience in die, tooling, stamping, manufacturing or quality control will be an added advantage or Automotive Manufacturin Industry.
- Good understanding of engineering drawings, measurements and quality requirements.
- Able to coordinate and communicate effectively with Design, QA, Production, suppliers and customers.
- Good follow-up, problem-solving and project coordination skills.
- Able to work independently and manage multiple tasks according to deadlines.
- Fresh graduates with relevant qualifications may also be considered.
