Position Overview

As a Release Manager, you will drive software deployment, infrastructure coordination, and pipeline management across critical banking applications, working closely with development, testing, and infrastructure teams to ensure seamless application rollouts.

Key Responsibilities

• Release & Deployment Management: Plan, manage, and execute software releases, test deployments, and environment transitions.
• CI/CD & Pipeline Operations: Build, administer, and optimise Jenkins pipelines and build agents to streamline delivery workflows.
• Linux & Automation Scripting: Utilise strong Linux platform knowledge and advanced shell scripting for automated deployment tasks, utility creation, and troubleshooting.
• Enterprise Tooling Administration: Manage workflow scheduling via Control-M, handle change and release governance using Aldon RDO, and configure secure file transfers with Connect Direct.
• Java Development & Integration: Apply solid Java and Spring Boot development skills to review build artefacts, troubleshoot deployment blockers, and support complex enterprise integrations.

Key Requirements

• A degree in IT or equivalent with at least 6 years of relevant experience within a banking environment
• Hands-on experience in software project deployment, release management, and implementation.
• Solid capability in managing Jenkins pipelines and build agents.
• Strong proficiency in Linux environments and shell scripting.
• Familiarity with Control-M, Aldon RDO, and Connect Direct (JBoss environment experience is a strong plus).
• Solid foundational Java development skills with Spring Boot.
