Responsibilities

Role: Oracle Platform Operations Engineer (Day-2 Operations & Patching)

Location: Singapore

Experience: Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience.


Job Summary: Responsible for Day-2 operational support, security patching, vulnerability remediation, and maintenance of Oracle Middleware and Database platforms across DEV, UAT, and PROD environments. The role involves Oracle CPU/CSPU patching, backup and rollback, Data Guard switchover, post-patch validation, and production incident support.

Important Technical Skills

  • Oracle Fusion Middleware: Oracle WebLogic Server 14c, OHS 14c, Forms & Reports, ADF.
  • Oracle Database: Oracle Database 19c, Data Guard (Active/Passive), Database Administration & Patching.
  • Oracle Enterprise Manager: OEM 13c, monitoring and agent communication.
  • Oracle Pro*C: Patching and application integration validation.
  • Patching & Operations: Oracle CPU/CSPU patching, pre-patch assessment, patch deployment, post-patch validation.
  • Backup & Recovery: Oracle Home backup, rollback/recovery planning, Data Guard switchover.
  • Vulnerability Management: CVE analysis, vulnerability remediation, risk assessment, CVSS.
  • Production Support: Mission-critical systems, minimal downtime, incident troubleshooting and stabilization.
  • Governance & Compliance: Change management, release management, IM8-aligned timelines, audit documentation.
  • Oracle SR Management: Raising and managing Oracle Service Requests, coordination with Oracle Support.

Must-Have Screening Criteria

  1. Minimum 3 years of hands-on Oracle Fusion Middleware 14c+ and Oracle Database 19c experience.
  2. Strong Oracle CPU patching experience in production environments.
  3. Experience with WebLogic, OHS, Forms & Reports, Data Guard, and OEM.
  4. Hands-on backup, rollback, recovery, and Data Guard switchover.
  5. Experience in enterprise-scale or regulated environments.
  6. Candidate must be based in Singapore.

Industry: Healthcare / Government-regulated enterprise environment (NYP).
