S20 Group is a growing ecosystem of companies operating across digital services, technology, AI, venture building, and business operations.

As the group continues to scale, our finance team ensures that transactions, records, payments, and reporting across multiple entities remain accurate, organised, and up to date.

We're looking for a Finance Intern who wants practical exposure to real finance operations—not just observation or basic administrative work.

Role Overview

As a Finance Intern, you'll support the day-to-day finance operations of S20 Group across multiple entities.

You'll gain hands-on exposure to accounting records, accounts receivable, accounts payable, bank reconciliation, documentation, and month-end processes while working within established finance systems and SOPs.

This role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, disciplined, and eager to build strong fundamentals in finance operations.

What You'll DoFinance Operations
  • Assist with recording invoices, expenses, receipts, and other financial transactions.
  • Maintain accurate and organised finance records.
  • Support quotation, invoicing, and billing processes.
  • Assist with data entry and transaction updates using Xero.

  • Assist in tracking customer payments and outstanding invoices.
  • Update collection and payment records accurately.
  • Support preparation of supplier payment schedules.
  • Ensure supporting documents and approvals are properly maintained.
Bank Reconciliation & Documentation
  • Assist with bank reconciliation and transaction checking.
  • Maintain supporting documents, receipts, invoices, and payment records.
  • Identify discrepancies and raise them to the finance team promptly.
  • Keep finance files organised and audit-ready.
Month-End & Reporting Support
  • Support month-end closing activities.
  • Assist in checking transaction completeness before closing.
  • Help prepare basic finance reports and summaries.
  • Support finance data preparation for management review.
Compliance & Finance Administration
  • Assist with documentation related to EPF, SOCSO, EIS, SST, HRDF, and other statutory requirements.
  • Maintain proper records and audit trails.
  • Support coordination with internal teams and external finance parties when required.

What We're Looking For
  • Currently pursuing a Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial records.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy when working with numbers.
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets.
  • Familiarity with Xero or other accounting software is an advantage.
  • Organised, responsible, and willing to learn.

You're a Great Fit If You
  • Pay attention to details and double-check your work.
  • Can follow structured processes and SOPs consistently.
  • Take responsibility for completing tasks accurately and on time.
  • Ask questions when unsure instead of making assumptions.
  • Are comfortable handling structured and repetitive finance work.
  • Want to build strong practical finance fundamentals.

Please Don't Apply If You
  • You're careless with numbers, records, or documentation.
  • You dislike structured or detail-oriented work.
  • You need constant reminders to complete assigned tasks.
  • You avoid asking questions when something is unclear.
  • You're looking for an internship where you'll mainly observe instead of contributing.

What You'll Learn
  • Real-world finance operations across multiple business entities.
  • Practical use of Xero and cloud accounting systems.
  • Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP) processes.
  • Bank reconciliation and transaction management.
  • Month-end closing fundamentals.
  • Malaysia statutory and finance compliance basics.

Why Join S20 Group

You'll gain hands-on exposure to finance operations across different businesses rather than working on isolated classroom exercises.

You'll work with real transactions, systems, reporting processes, and finance workflows while learning how a growing group manages its financial operations.

High-performing interns may also be considered for future full-time opportunities within the Group.

Final Note

We're looking for someone who wants to build strong finance fundamentals through real execution.

  • If you're accurate, disciplined, willing to learn, and comfortable taking responsibility for your work, we'd like to hear from you.
