Role Summary
The Reverse Logistics & Refurbishment Operations Specialist is responsible for managing end-to-end AP reverse logistics and refurbishment operations across returned products, defective parts, repair centers, and refurbishment partners. The role ensures timely return, repair, refurbishment, inventory control, and disposition activities while driving operational excellence, cost optimization, compliance, and customer satisfaction across the reverse supply chain.
Working closely with Quality, Engineering, Logistics, Compliance, Finance, Procurement, Service Delivery teams, customers, and external partners, the specialist will ensure operational KPIs are achieved while continuously improving repair yield, cycle time, quality, and cost performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end reverse logistics operations, including defective-part collection, return flows, reverse hub management, and refurbishment execution across AP markets.
- Monitor and drive performance of repair and refurbishment vendors against service, quality, turnaround time, repair yield, and cost KPIs.
- Control reverse inventory, aging stock, and material disposition activities to maximize recovery value and minimize excess inventory.
- Coordinate cross-border repair and refurbishment movements while ensuring compliance with applicable trade, regulatory, and operational requirements.
- Lead root cause analysis (RCA), corrective and preventive actions (CAPA), and DOA investigations to improve product quality and operational performance.
- Govern scrap disposition processes and ensure accurate tracking, reporting, and compliance with corporate policies.
- Develop and maintain operational dashboards and KPI reporting covering repair yield, turnaround time, inventory aging, recovery rates, quality performance, and cost metrics.
- Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives that optimize operational efficiency, reduce costs, improve customer experience, and enhance reverse supply chain performance.
Qualification & Experience
Must-Have
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations Management, Engineering, Business, or a related discipline.
- 5 to 8 years of experience in reverse logistics, service operations, repair operations, refurbishment, supply chain, or aftermarket services.
- Strong understanding of reverse logistics processes, inventory management, repair operations, and refurbishment workflows.
- Experience managing third-party logistics providers, repair vendors, or contract service partners.
- Knowledge of RCA, CAPA, quality improvement methodologies, and operational performance management.
- Strong analytical skills with experience developing KPI dashboards, operational reports, and performance insights.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to collaborate across regional and global teams.
Good-to-Have
- Experience supporting cross-border logistics and international repair operations.
- Knowledge of trade compliance, environmental regulations, and product disposition requirements.
- Experience with ERP, inventory management, or service management systems.
- Exposure to Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies.
