Summary
The Finance & Account Manager is responsible for leading and overseeing the Company's finance and accounting functions, including financial reporting, cash flow management, budgeting, financial planning, payment and collection control, banking and financing, audit, taxation and financial compliance. On top of that, the role is also responsible for providing financial analysis, strategic financial advice and recommendations to Management to support effective financial planning, resource allocation, business decisions and financial sustainability, developing and maintaining strong relationships with banks and financial institutions, identifying suitable financing opportunities and leading financing applications and arrangements to support the Company's operational and business requirements.
The role leads the Finance & Account team and ensures financial processes, controls and reporting are carried out efficiently, accurately and in accordance with Company policies and statutory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
1. Financial Reporting & Management Accounts
- Oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports.
- Review Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, cash flow and management accounts before submission to Management.
- Analyse financial performance, variances, trends and significant financial issues.
- Ensure financial reports are accurate, complete and submitted within the required timeline.
- Provide financial analysis and recommendations to support Management decision-making.
2. Budgeting, Cash Flow & Financial Planning
- Lead the preparation and monitoring of annual budgets, financial forecasts and cash flow projections.
- Monitor the Company's overall cash position, commitments and working capital requirements.
- Develop short-term and long-term financial plans aligned with the Company's business and operational objectives.
- Advise Management on effective allocation and utilisation of financial resources based on business priorities and financial requirements.
- Assess the financial impact of major expenditures, projects, investments and business initiatives.
- Conduct financial analysis, scenario planning and forecasting to support Management decision making. Identify potential cash flow risks and recommend appropriate actions.
- Monitor actual financial performance against approved budgets and provide recommendations on significant variances.
3. Payment, Collection & Working Capital Control
- Review and control supplier payment planning and payment priorities.
- Monitor accounts receivable, customer collections and overdue balances.
- Ensure payment and collection activities are properly monitored and followed up.
- Monitor major Company financial commitments including supplier payments, loans and other obligations.
- Escalate significant overdue collections, payment risks or cash flow concerns to Management.
- Identify opportunities to improve working capital efficiency and optimise cash utilisation.
4. Banking, Financing & Funding
- Develop and maintain strong professional relationships with banks, financial institutions and other financing partners.
- Manage the Company's banking facilities, loans, financing, guarantees and related financial arrangements.
- Identify and evaluate suitable banking facilities, loans, trade financing, working capital facilities and other funding options based on the Company's financial and business requirements.
- Lead the preparation, submission and follow-up of bank financing and loan applications, including financial information, projections, supporting documents and financing proposals.
- Engage and liaise with banks and financial institutions to explore financing opportunities and negotiate suitable financing terms, where applicable.
- Maintain oversight of loan repayments, financing commitments, financial costs and applicable financial covenants.
- Assess the Company's current and future funding requirements and recommend appropriate financing strategies to Management.
- Identify opportunities to optimise banking arrangements, financing structures and financing costs.
- Coordinate financial information and documentation required for financing applications.
- Ensure bank reconciliation and banking records are properly reviewed and maintained.
- Provide Management with regular updates on banking relationships, financing opportunities, funding requirements and existing financial facilities.
5. Accounts & Internal Financial Control
- Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, invoicing, general ledger and payment records.
- Review financial records and reconciliations to ensure completeness and accuracy.
- Establish and maintain appropriate financial controls, approval processes and documentation requirements.
- Identify financial discrepancies, control weaknesses or irregularities and ensure corrective actions are taken.
- Ensure proper accounting records and supporting documents are maintained.
- Safeguard confidential financial information and Company financial records.
6. Audit, Taxation & Compliance
- Lead and coordinate annual audit, taxation and statutory financial matters.
- Ensure accounts and supporting documentation are complete and audit-ready.
- Liaise with external auditors, tax agents, bankers and other relevant parties.
- Review tax computations, estimates and financial information before submission.
- Ensure timely compliance with relevant statutory and financial requirements.
- Monitor and ensure appropriate closure of audit findings and financial adjustments.
7. Strategic Financial Advisory & Risk Management
- Act as a financial business partner to Management by providing financial insights, analysis and recommendations to support business decisions.
- Identify financial risks relating to cash flow, collections, payment commitments, financing and operational expenditure.
- Monitor significant financial exposure and recommend appropriate mitigating actions.
- Evaluate the financial feasibility and potential financial impact of major business initiatives, projects, investments and expenditures.
- Provide financial scenarios, projections and recommendations to support Management in making informed business decisions.
- Review significant expenditure, financial commitments or financial arrangements where required.
- Advise Management on cost optimisation, resource allocation, profitability and financial sustainability.
- Identify opportunities to improve financial efficiency, cash flow, profitability and return on investment.
8. Team Management & Process Improvement
- Lead, supervise and provide direction to the Finance & Account team.
- Assign responsibilities and monitor team workload, accuracy and deadlines.
- Review work performed by team members before finalisation where required.
- Develop team capability and ensure proper accountability within the department.
- Improve finance workflows, reporting, documentation and internal control processes.
- Ensure the team complies with Company financial procedures and reporting requirements.
- Perform other duties assigned by Management from time to time.
Requirement
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
- Professional qualification such as ACCA, CIMA, CPA or equivalent will be an added advantage.
Experience
- Minimum 5–7 years of relevant experience in accounting and finance, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
Technical Competencies
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting, management accounts, budgeting, cash flow and financial controls.
- Knowledge and practical experience in taxation, audit, banking, financing, financial planning and statutory compliance.
- Demonstrated experience in managing banking relationships, financing facilities, loan applications or other forms of corporate funding.
- Experience in preparing financial projections, business cases or financial analysis to support Management decision-making.
- Able to manage multiple priorities and meet financial reporting deadlines.

Pay: RM7,000.00 - RM9,000.00 per month
