Team and Position Summary 

 

The Software Developer (Automation) is responsible for the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of automated testing solutions across web, API, mobile, and enterprise applications. The role supports digital transformation initiatives by reducing manual testing effort, increasing test coverage, and accelerating software delivery through automation.

 

The incumbent will build scalable automation frameworks, develop automated test scripts using industry-standard tools and technologies, integrate automation into CI/CD pipelines, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality software releases while meeting business and project requirements.

 


Key Responsibilities   

 

  • Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks for web, API, and enterprise applications.
  • Convert manual test cases into scalable and reusable automation scripts.
  • Ensure comprehensive automation coverage for projects, enhancements, and change requests.
  • Integrate automation testing into CI/CD pipelines to support continuous delivery.
  • Analyze test results, troubleshoot automation failures, and perform root cause analysis.
  • Collaborate with developers, QA engineers, and business stakeholders to ensure software quality.
  • Mentor junior team members and provide technical guidance on automation best practices.
  • Prepare automation metrics, execution reports, and technical documentation.
  • Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance testing efficiency and software reliability.
  • Stay current with emerging automation technologies, tools, and quality engineering practices.

 

Requirements

 

Education and Experience

 

  • Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline.
  • 3 to 5 years of relevant experience, preferably in the IT or financial services industry.

 

Skills and Knowledge

 

  • Programming Languages: Java, JavaScript
  • Automation Tools: Watermelon, Selenium, Appium, Robot Framework
  • API Testing: Postman, Rest Assured, SoapUI
  • CI/CD: Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI
  • Version Control: Git, Bitbucket
  • Test Management: JIRA, Zephyr, TestRail, ALM
  • Database: SQL, Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL
  • Methodologies: Agile, Scrum, DevOps
