Full Time Industrial Electrical Chargeman A4 Jobs, Salary up to MYR 3,500 in Jayatrade Manufacturing Negeri Sembilan - Maukerja

POSITION : CHARGEMAN A4
DEPARTMENT : PRODUCTION
REPORT TO : FACTORY MANAGER

A. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

1.Take charge of the day-to-day operation and safe management of the company's low-voltage electrical installation within the scope of the A4 competency.

2.Conduct regular inspections of electrical rooms, switchboards, panels and electrical equipment.

3.Ensure electrical equipment remains in safe and satisfactory operating condition.

4.Carry out electrical switching, isolation and restoration in accordance with approved procedures.

5.Ensure all electrical work is carried out safely and in accordance with approved procedures.

6.Implement appropriate electrical isolation and Lock-Out/Tag-Out (LOTO) procedures.

7.Ensure electrical equipment is properly isolated before maintenance or repair.

8.Inspect electrical installations for unsafe conditions, exposed conductors, damaged cables, overheating, loose connections and other electrical hazards.

9.Provide electrical maintenance support for production machinery and plant equipment.

10.Assist maintenance personnel in diagnosing electrical faults affecting production lines.

11.Coordinate with Production and Maintenance Departments to minimize machine downtime.

12.Verify the electrical condition of newly installed or modified machinery before energization.

13.Assist in electrical installation, testing and commissioning of new production equipment.

14.Ensure electrical modifications are properly documented and carried out by competent/authorized personnel.

15.All other duties assigned by the Superior or Management from time to time.

NB : The above are not exhaustive as some responsibilities may have been missed out. Any responsibilities not listed above but need to be logically carried out by the Mechanical Engineer in the dispensing of his / her responsibilities & duties are deemed to be included.

B. AUTHORITY AND ACCOUNTABILITY

The Chargeman A4 is accountable for the safe operation, supervision, inspection and maintenance of the electrical installation under his/her charge within the scope of the competency granted by Suruhanjaya Tenaga. The Chargeman has the authority to isolate electrical equipment or stop electrical work where an immediate safety risk is identified and shall immediately report significant electrical defects, unsafe conditions and incidents to the Engineering/Maintenance Manager.

The Chargeman shall not undertake or authorize electrical work beyond his/her legal competency or authorization.

C. COMPETENCY REQUIREMENT

• Minimum SKM / Certificate / Diploma in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Possess a valid Chargeman A4 Certificate of Competency issued by Suruhanjaya Tenaga.
• Must maintain valid registration/authorization as a competent person in accordance with applicable Suruhanjaya Tenaga requirements.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant electrical operation and maintenance experience, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Experience in factory electrical systems, production machinery, MCCs, switchboards, generators and industrial electrical equipment is preferred.
• Experience in preventive and corrective electrical maintenance will be an advantage.

Pay: RM2,900.00 - RM3,500.00 per month
