About the Role

We are looking for passionate sports enthusiasts and future leaders to join Decathlon Retail as a Sport Department Manager.

You will take ownership of your sport department like a business leader — driving sales performance, developing your team, creating an excellent customer experience, and managing stock and operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and drive the commercial performance of your sport department.
• Analyse market trends, set sales strategies and manage department budgets.
• Recruit, coach and develop a high-performing team.
• Create an engaging and exceptional customer experience through sport expertise.
• Manage product range, department layout and stock availability.
• Ensure stock accuracy and operational efficiency.
• Maintain safety, security and compliance standards.
• Take responsibility as Duty Manager when scheduled and support overall store operations.
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and business growth.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in any field.
• Fresh graduates and final-year students are welcome to apply.
• Genuine passion and interest in sports.
• Strong communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
• Entrepreneurial, proactive and results-driven mindset.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Comfortable working with digital tools and technology.
• Willing to work shifts, weekends and public holidays.
• Retail, sales, customer service or leadership experience is an added advantage.
