Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and review Bills of Quantities, cost plans, estimates and tender documentation.
- Carry out quantity measurement and taking-off from drawings and specifications.
- Assist in tender administration, including tender analysis, comparison and evaluation.
- Prepare and evaluate interim valuations, progress claims and payment recommendations.
- Assist with variation orders, claims, extension of time and other contractual matters.
- Prepare and maintain project cost reports and financial statements.
- Assist with contract administration and commercial management.
- Prepare and review final accounts.
- Liaise with clients, consultants, contractors and other project stakeholders.
- Attend site meetings, project inspections and tender briefings when required.
- Assist in providing cost and commercial advice throughout the project lifecycle.
- Maintain proper documentation and records for project cost and contract administration.
- Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.
- 2–5 years of relevant Quantity Surveying experience preferred.
- Experience in a Quantity Surveying consultancy is an advantage.
- Good understanding of measurement, tendering, valuation, variation and final account procedures.
- Familiarity with PAM, JKR, CIDB or other standard forms of contract will be an advantage.
- Good analytical, numerical and problem-solving skills.
- Able to read and interpret architectural, structural and M&E drawings.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Experience with Glodon or other QS measurement/cost management software is an advantage.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Able to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Willing to learn and take on responsibility.
