About the Role

We are looking for a proactive Business Development Intern to support lead generation, outreach and events across our advisory services, HRD Corp training programmes and FinWHIZ workshops.

You will work closely with our leadership team to identify potential clients and partners, coordinate follow-ups and help turn enquiries into business opportunities. This role offers practical exposure to business development, client communication and event coordination.

Key Responsibilities

• Research potential clients and partners, including companies, HR and learning teams, schools and community organisations.

• Build and maintain contact lists and a pipeline tracker to keep leads, follow-ups and next steps organised.

• Support outreach through LinkedIn, WhatsApp, email and calls, with guidance from the team.

• Assist with presentations, proposals and quotations for corporate training, financial education workshops and advisory-related opportunities.

• Follow up on enquiries and help coordinate meetings, introductory discussions and workshop bookings.

• Support events, talks and workshops through participant coordination, registration, lead collection and follow-up.

• Assist with consultant recruitment by researching potential candidates and coordinating introductory conversations.

• Prepare weekly updates on outreach activity, lead progress and upcoming opportunities.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a diploma or degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Finance or a related field.

• Comfortable communicating with people and willing to learn how to approach prospective clients and partners.

• Good written and spoken English. Additional languages are an advantage.

• Organised, resourceful and able to follow through on tasks.

• Familiar with Microsoft Office or Google Workspace. Experience with LinkedIn, Canva or AI tools is a bonus.

• Able to attend our office regularly and support scheduled events when required.

• Previous experience is welcome but not essential. We value initiative, reliability and a willingness to learn.

What You Will Gain

• Hands-on experience in lead generation, outreach and business development.

• Exposure to financial services, corporate training and educational programmes.

• Opportunities to develop communication, presentation and coordination skills.

• Direct guidance and feedback from the FinAIMS leadership team.
