Major Duties and Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Implement and manage the CMMS in production and packing operations across all factories.
• Plan, prioritize, schedule, and manage maintenance activities (e.g., planned maintenance programs, shutdowns, and emergency repairs) to rectify breakdowns and malfunctions while minimizing business disruptions.
• Evaluate equipment and maintenance history to determine, develop, and implement appropriate preventive maintenance requirements to optimize maintenance effectiveness and maximize equipment reliability and uptime.
• Ensure the preventive maintenance plan is reviewed and updated regularly, at least annually.
• Plan and oversee the calibration and verification of all field instruments.
• Manage technical spare parts inventory.
• Ensure all maintenance and servicing processes are carried out in accordance with ISO 9001, HACCP, ISO 22000, and FSSC 22000 requirements.
• Ensure all machines are safe to operate.
• Train subordinates on proper machine maintenance and servicing procedures.
Undertaking any and all other duties and responsibilities as so instructed by the superior and/or Company

Desired Qualifications and Skills:

The ideal candidate will have/be:

• Possess a Degree or at least two (2) years of working experience with a Diploma in Electrical, Mechanical, or Mechatronics Engineering.
• Possess knowledge of mechanical and electrical/PLC systems. Relevant working experience in a food manufacturing environment will be an added advantage.
• Knowledge of maintenance scheduling and corrective maintenance management will be an added advantage.
• Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Detail-oriented and able to practice a high level of caution.
• Able to make effective and firm decisions.
• Reliable and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Able to communicate effectively with superiors, peers, and subordinates.
• Able to speak and write fluently in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
• Computer-literate and proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint) and maintenance systems.
• Possess own transport.
• Based in Alor Gajah, Melaka.
