About the Role
We are looking for a motivated and friendly Admin / Customer Service Intern to join our hotel team. This internship provides hands-on exposure to hotel operations, administrative work, guest services, and day-to-day customer interactions.
The ideal candidate is someone who enjoys working with people, is organized, responsible, and willing to learn in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
Key Responsibilities
Administrative Support
- Assist with daily administrative and clerical tasks.
- Prepare, organize, and maintain documents, records, and reports.
- Assist with data entry, filing, and updating administrative records.
- Support the team with basic office coordination and other administrative duties.
- Assist in preparing internal documents, schedules, and correspondence.
Customer Service / Guest Support
- Welcome and assist hotel guests in a friendly and professional manner.
- Respond to guest enquiries through walk-in, phone, messaging platforms, or other communication channels.
- Assist with check-in and check-out procedures when required.
- Handle basic guest requests and coordinate with relevant hotel departments.
- Receive and record guest feedback, enquiries, and complaints, and escalate issues when necessary.
- Provide guests with information about hotel facilities, services, and nearby attractions.
General Hotel Operations
- Support the front office and other departments when required.
- Assist in maintaining a clean, organized, and professional customer-facing environment.
- Participate in hotel activities, promotions, or events when required.
- Perform other reasonable duties assigned by the supervisor or management.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a Diploma/Degree in Hospitality, Business Administration, Tourism, Customer Service, or a related field.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Friendly, polite, and customer-oriented personality.
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Able to work independently as well as within a team.
- Willing to learn and adapt to the hotel environment.
- Able to communicate in English and Bahasa Malaysia. Additional languages are an advantage.
- Previous customer service or hospitality experience is an added advantage but not required.
