Role Description The Media Sales Consultant is a part-time, commission-based, hybrid role based in WP Kuala Lumpur, with flexibility for some work-from-home arrangements. This role involves identifying and qualifying potential clients, generating leads, and presenting advertising and sponsorship solutions that align with client objectives and The Ledger Asia’s media offerings. The consultant will manage client accounts, build long-term relationships, and coordinate closely with editorial and marketing teams to develop effective campaigns. Day-to-day tasks include conducting outreach, preparing proposals, negotiating terms, tracking performance against sales targets, and maintaining accurate records in sales systems. The role requires a proactive, results-focused approach and strong professional communication with clients and internal stakeholders.


Qualifications

  • Demonstrated skills in Media Sales, including experience selling advertising, sponsorships, or media packages.
  • Proficiency in Account Management, with the ability to maintain relationships and ensure client satisfaction over time.
  • Experience in Lead Generation, including prospecting, pipeline development, and follow-up to convert opportunities.
  • Strong Negotiation skills to structure mutually beneficial agreements and close deals effectively.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present ideas clearly to diverse stakeholders.
  • Comfort with hybrid work arrangements and the ability to manage time and priorities independently.
  • Familiarity with digital media, finance, or business news environments is an advantage.
  • Relevant experience in sales, marketing, or business development; a diploma or degree in a related field is beneficial.
