Job Summary

Safely operate Class 4 trucks to deliver goods across assigned routes while ensuring cargo security, vehicle maintenance, and compliance with safety regulations.

Responsibilities

Operate Class 4 trucks to deliver pallets, loose materials, and cargo according to delivery orders

Securely load cargo and verify it matches delivery documentation before departure

Complete island-wide or regional deliveries as assigned, adhering to scheduled routes and timelines

Conduct daily vehicle checks including tires, lights, oil, water, and battery to ensure safe operation

Report any unusual vehicle sounds or mechanical issues immediately to maintenance teams

Follow all road safety regulations and traffic laws during vehicle operation

Maintain accurate documentation for all deliveries and collections

Report any discrepancies in cargo or delivery status promptly to supervisors

Communicate delivery progress, incidents, delays, or vehicle issues to supervisors or controllers

Collaborate with logistics and dispatch teams to ensure smooth delivery operations

Required competencies and certifications

Valid Class 4 Driving Licence

Preferred competencies and qualifications

Prior experience in logistics or delivery driving

Good knowledge of traffic rules and safety practices

Physical fitness to handle loading and unloading tasks

Responsible, punctual, and safety-conscious attitude
