About the role

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Plumber to join our facilities management team at Tropicana Golf & Country Resort in Petaling Jaya, Selangor. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in maintaining the integrity and functionality of our extensive plumbing infrastructure. As Plumber, you will be responsible for ensuring all water systems, drainage, and sanitary installations operate efficiently, supporting the seamless day-to-day operations of the resort and contributing to guest and resident satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems and fixtures throughout the resort, including pipes, fittings, taps, toilets, showers, and drainage systems

• Conduct regular inspections of plumbing installations to identify potential issues and undertake preventative maintenance

• Diagnose and troubleshoot plumbing problems, determining the most effective solutions and cost-efficient repair methods

• Perform pipe cutting, threading, bending, and fitting work to required specifications

• Ensure all plumbing work complies with relevant regulations and safety standards

• Maintain detailed records of all maintenance and repair work completed, including parts used and time spent

• Identify and report opportunities for system improvements or upgrades to enhance efficiency and reduce water consumption

What we're looking for

• Recognised plumbing qualification or relevant trade certification, such as a valid plumbing license or apprenticeship certification

• Minimum 2-3 years of plumbing experience in a commercial or facilities management environment

• Strong technical knowledge of plumbing systems, including water supply, drainage, hot water systems, and sanitary installations

• Proficiency in using plumbing tools and equipment, including pipe cutters, threading machines, pressure testers, and diagnostic equipment

• Ability to read and interpret plumbing plans, blueprints, and technical specifications

• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently whilst maintaining attention to detail

• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a facilities management team

• Reliability, punctuality, and a professional approach to health and safety in the workplace

• Physical fitness and the ability to work in various environments, including confined spaces and at heights when necessary
