Requirements

Responsibilities

At Saccotech Sdn Bhd, you will handle the commercial side of projects to keep costs, contracts and risks under control.

Cost Management & Estimation 

  • Prepare and maintain cost estimates, cost plans and project budgets while forecasting material and labour costs for accurate planning. 
  • Update budgets for scope changes and perform lifecycle costing to assess long-term financial impact.

Tendering & Contract Administration 

  • Assemble tender documentation including bills of quantities, contract conditions and budgets for bidding and procurement. 
  • Review contract terms, manage contract administration and provide practical contractual advice during delivery.

Risk, Valuation & Claims 

  • Identify project risks, recommend mitigation actions and monitor risk controls throughout the project lifecycle. 
  • Carry out valuation of construction work and manage claims and disputes to protect project commercial interests. 

Requirements

Qualifications & Experience 

  • Must possess a Bachelor's Degree in a related field. 
  • Minimum 2+ years relevant experience in quantity surveying or commercial roles; additional experience is an advantage. 
  • This is a full-time role, and you must be willing to travel or relocate as required by Saccotech Sdn Bhd.

Hard Skills & Knowledge 

  • Proven ability in cost estimating, cost planning and lifecycle costing analysis. 
  • Experience preparing tender documents, bills of quantities and contract documentation, plus contract administration skills. 
  • Competence in valuation of construction work, claims handling and analysing contract terms.

Soft Skills & Qualities 

  • Disciplined, with strong interpersonal skills and clear verbal and written communication. 
  • Independent, self-motivated and assertive when pursuing project targets and resolutions. 
  • Organised, detail-oriented and able to work collaboratively with project teams to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

 

  1. Cost estimate, cost planning and cost management.
  2. Analysing terms and conditions in the contract.
  3. Predicting potential risks in the project and taking precautions to mitigate such risk.
  4. Forecasting the costs of different materials needed for the project.
  5. Prepare tender documents, contracts, budgets and other documentations.
  6. Take note of changes made and adjust the budget accordingly.
  7. Tender management includes preparation of bills of quantities, contract conditions and assembly of tender documents.
  8. Contract management and contractual advice.
  9.  Valuation of construction work.
  10. Claims and dispute management.
  11. Lifecycle costing analysis.
