What You'll Do:This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience with enterprise payment platforms, Java microservices, and financial services technologies.Key Responsibilities: Provide Level 3 application maintenance and production support for payment applications. Monitor application performance and respond to production incidents within defined SLAs. Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve application and system issues in collaboration with senior engineers. Perform root cause analysis for recurring production issues and assist in implementing permanent fixes. Support application deployments, releases, and post-deployment validation activities. Develop and maintain Java Spring Boot applications, bug fixes, and minor enhancements. Create and maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, and knowledge base articles. Work closely with business users, infrastructure teams, and developers to ensure smooth application operations. Support batch jobs, file processing, and data validation activities. Participate in on-call support and scheduled maintenance activities as required. Ensure adherence to security, compliance, and operational standards in a regulated financial environment.Required Skills: 3 years of experience in Java application development, maintenance, or production support. Strong knowledge of Java and Spring Boot. Experience working with Oracle Database 12c/19c, including SQL queries and troubleshooting. Hands-on experience with Unix/Linux operating systems and command-line tools. Basic understanding of application support processes, incident management, and troubleshooting. Good analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong communication and teamwork abilities. Willingness to learn enterprise payment systems and production support best practices.Nice-to-Have Skills: Exposure to Client Entitlement Workflow (CEW) and Payment Data Repository (PDR) or similar in-house payment solutions. Experience with JBoss Application Server and Apache Web Server. Familiarity with modern Java microservices technologies such as Spring Boot, Kafka, and JWT. Experience implementing file conversion processes (e.g., TXT to XML, CSV to XML). Knowledge of Shell Scripting for automation and operational support. Exposure to highly secure environments such as banking or financial services. Understanding of security concepts including encryption, audit controls, two-factor authentication (2FA), and multi-factor authentication (MFA).
