Sales Manager – Maritime, Government & Defence

Location: Singapore

The Opportunity

A satellite communications specialist with over 50 years of engineering pedigree and a market-leading reputation across UK and European government and defence markets is opening a government and defence sales territory in Singapore for the first time. This is genuinely greenfield: no inherited pipeline, no legacy baggage, and budget already signed off at CEO level. The right person builds this from zero.

The Impact You Will Have

• Build and own a brand-new government and defence sales function in Singapore from a blank sheet
• Report directly to the Regional Director, Asia Pacific, with full autonomy over territory and strategy
• Open relationships across government, defence and maritime security customers in a market this business has never before explored
• Draw on direct, hands-on support from an established UK and European government-side specialist team from day one
• Shape how an already category-leading satcom business enters an entirely new vertical in the region

What Success Looks Like

• 5+ years’ sales experience across maritime and/or government and defence sectors, ideally with a forces, security or public-sector background
• A genuine personal network across government, defence or maritime security in Singapore and the wider Asia Pacific region
• A relationship-led seller who sells on value, not the first to discount when a deal gets competitive
• Comfortable operating independently within a lean, autonomous set-up, with no hand-holding
• A track record of staying the course and building real, lasting relationships rather than moving on every couple of years.
