Maintenance Technician – Cold Room & Refrigeration
Jurong / Chin Bee Area
Salary: Around $2,800 – $3,000, depending on experience
Mon–Fri: 8:30am–5:30pm | Sat: 8:30am–12:30pm
No Standby / After-Hours Call-Out Duty | Fixed On-Site Role
This role focuses on routine checks, first-line troubleshooting and minor repairs. Major repairs, specialised servicing and equipment overhauls will be handled by external contractors.
Responsibilities
Conduct daily checks on cold rooms, chillers and refrigeration systems.
Monitor and record temperature, humidity and system performance.
Troubleshoot temperature deviations, refrigeration issues and basic electrical faults.
Perform first-line maintenance and minor repairs.
Identify faults and take appropriate corrective action.
Coordinate with contractors for major breakdowns, servicing and specialised repairs.
Follow up on contractor repair/service works.
Maintain inspection, repair and maintenance records.
Ensure facilities meet operational, food-safety and housekeeping requirements.
Requirements
NITEC/Higher NITEC/Diploma or relevant certification in Mechanical, Electrical, HVAC, Refrigeration or related field.
Candidates with relevant hands-on experience without formal qualifications may also be considered.
At least 1 year of experience in cold rooms, commercial refrigeration, chillers, walk-in freezers or similar systems.
Able to perform basic electrical checks using a multimeter.
Able to troubleshoot basic temperature-control and refrigeration issues.
Familiarity with digital temperature controllers is an advantage.
Hands-on, reliable and able to work independently.
Able to work 5.5 days.
