Location: Cyberjaya & Petaling Jaya, Selangor (Requires commuting between both cafes)

Job Summary

Reporting directly to the Head of Department, the Purchasing Executive keeps our PJ and Cyberjaya cafes running smoothly by managing daily sourcing, buying, and stock control. Unlike a corporate office desk job, this is a hands-on, energetic role. You will be the go-to person ensuring our kitchens never run out of fresh ingredients, raw food materials, and daily operational supplies. Duties & Responsibilities

• Daily Sourcing & Ordering: Place daily orders for fresh produce, meats, dry goods, and cafe consumables based on real-time kitchen needs.
• Vendor Coordination: Maintain close, friendly relationships with our regular suppliers and wet market vendors. Act fast to resolve shortfalls, wrong deliveries, or quality issues.
• Price Negotiation: Keep a close eye on market prices for food materials, source alternative quotes, and negotiate fair rates to help keep our cafe food costs healthy.
• On-Site Stock Control: Visually and physically inspect incoming deliveries for freshness, quality, and weight compliance directly at the cafes.
• Stock Takes: Conduct regular physical stock counts with the cafe floor and kitchen crews to prevent over-ordering and minimize food waste.
• Admin Support: Track daily expenditures, check supplier invoices against delivery orders, and submit them to Finance for timely payment.

Requirements

• Experience: Minimum 1–2 years of hands-on purchasing or stock handling experience in a cafe, standalone restaurant, bakery, or central kitchen. Fresh grads with a strong drive and internship experience in F&B are welcome to apply.
• Mobility: Must possess your own transport and be fully comfortable commuting between our Petaling Jaya and Cyberjaya cafes.
• Skills: Energetic, confident communicator who can text and talk comfortably with local market vendors. Basic math skills and familiarity with Microsoft Excel are required.
• Mindset: Proactive, organized, and adaptable—someone who understands the quick, day-to-day changes of running a cafe operation.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RM2,500.00 - RM3,500.00 per month
