Responsibilities

Job Summary

Matco (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd is looking for a Store Assistant to support our daily store, warehouse and inventory operations in Kemaman, Terengganu.

The successful candidate will be responsible for receiving, storing and issuing materials, maintaining accurate inventory records, supporting stock take activities and ensuring proper documentation and inventory control.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain proper bookkeeping and inventory records.
  • Maintain receipts, stock records and withdrawals from the stockroom.
  • Receive, unload, inspect and shelve supplies.
  • Perform stock-related activities including returning, packing, pricing and labelling supplies.
  • Ensure proper documentation and accurate stock levels.
  • Inspect deliveries for damage, discrepancies or shortages and report to management.
  • Assist management as the focal person during stock take activities.
  • Maintain and update Stock Cards.
  • Release products/materials according to approved Material Requisition Forms.
  • Maintain Goods Received Notes (GRN), Goods Return Notes and Material Requisition Forms.
  • Support inventory control and proper documentation of stock movements.
  • Suggest improvements to increase store efficiency and service quality.
  • Comply with all company and legal HSE requirements.
  • Participate in HSE-related activities, programmes and campaigns.
  • Perform other duties and ad hoc assignments as required.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Minimum Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Warehouse Management, Business Administration or a related field, or equivalent.
  • 1–2 years of relevant experience in storekeeping, warehouse, inventory or material handling.
  • Knowledge of inventory management and stock control.
  • Familiarity with standard warehouse/store operations.
  • Good data entry, documentation and record-keeping skills.
  • Ability to perform accurate basic mathematical calculations.
  • Valid driving licence.
  • Ability or willingness to operate a forklift and obtain/maintain forklift certification.
  • Able to operate common office equipment.
  • Good organizational and communication skills.
  • Experience with ERP, SAP or inventory management systems will be an added advantage.
