The Security Officer is responsible for safeguardingemployees, visitors, property, information, and facilities. The role involvesmonitoring the premises, controlling access, conducting patrols, responding toincidents, and maintaining accurate security records while providing courteousand professional service.

Key Responsibilities

·        Conduct regular patrols of buildings, grounds,and designated areas to identify safety or security concerns.

·        Monitor entrances, exits, CCTV, alarms, andaccess-control systems.

·        Verify identification, manage visitor access,issue passes, and maintain entry and exit records.

·        Respond promptly to alarms, emergencies,disturbances, suspicious activity, and requests for assistance.

·        Enforce organisational policies, site rules, andsecurity procedures consistently and respectfully.

·        Prepare clear and accurate incident reports,occurrence records, patrol logs, and handover notes.

·        Assist with evacuations, emergency drills, crowdcontrol, and first-response activities.

·        Protect confidential information, keys,equipment, and restricted areas.

·        Report hazards, damaged security equipment,policy violations, and unusual observations to the supervisor.

·        Liaise professionally with employees, visitors,contractors, emergency services, and law-enforcement personnel.

·        Provide directions and assistance whilemaintaining a visible and professional security presence.

·        Perform other security-related duties assignedby the Security Supervisor or management.
