Operations Manager | Malaysia

Are you an experienced Operations / Project Manager with a strong background in system integration, automation or mission-critical projects?

We are looking for an Operations Manager in Malaysia to take ownership of operational performance across engineering, projects, service delivery, finance, procurement and office operations.

This is a senior role for someone who enjoys being hands-on, leading teams, solving complex challenges and driving projects from planning through successful delivery.

What you’ll be responsible for:

• Lead and optimize day-to-day operations across the division
• Oversee the delivery of Industrial Automation, PLC, SCADA, BMS and Data Centre automation projects
• Lead and develop multidisciplinary engineering and project teams
• Manage project performance, resources, costs, risks, quality and delivery
• Build strong relationships with clients, vendors, subcontractors and internal stakeholders
• Drive QA/QC, compliance, health & safety and continuous improvement
• Support budgeting, forecasting, procurement and commercial activities
• Contribute to pre-sales, proposals and business development
• Provide technical and operational leadership on mission-critical projects

What we’re looking for:

• 10+ years of experience in system integration, automation, infrastructure or related project environments
• Strong experience in Operations Management / Project Management / Engineering Management
• Proven experience with systems integration / solution delivery
• Background in BMS, EMS, PLC, SCADA, DCIM or OT systems
• Experience with large-scale construction, commissioning or Data Centre projects is a strong advantage
• Strong leadership, stakeholder and vendor management skills
• Ability to manage scope, time, cost, quality and risk across complex projects
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Automation, Electrical, Mechanical, Instrumentation or a related discipline
• Professional experience in Malaysia is essential
• Fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia
• Willingness to travel within Asia when required

Experience with platforms such as Siemens, Rockwell / Allen-Bradley, AVEVA / Wonderware, Ignition, WinCC, PCS7, TIA Portal or FactoryTalk is highly valued.
