Our client is a Singapore-headquartered healthcare services organisation looking for a strong Finance Manager to join its finance team.
This is a broad role covering financial accounting, reporting, treasury, fixed assets, audit, controls and finance transformation, with good exposure to senior stakeholders and cross-functional initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead month-end and year-end closing and ensure timely, accurate financial reporting.
- Oversee the general ledger, financial accounting, statutory reporting and accounting controls.
- Review financial results, investigate variances and provide insights to management.
- Oversee treasury and cash management, including cash flow forecasting, banking and liquidity planning.
- Manage fixed asset accounting, including depreciation, asset verification and lifecycle management.
- Lead and manage the external audit process, working closely with auditors and internal stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, statutory requirements and internal policies.
- Strengthen financial controls, governance and finance processes across the organisation.
- Partner with business stakeholders on accounting, reporting and financial matters.
- Lead and develop the finance team, providing coaching and technical guidance.
- Drive finance transformation and process improvement initiatives.
- Support ERP implementation, chart of accounts redesign, system enhancements and automation projects.
- Enhance financial reporting through improved dashboards, data analytics and reporting tools.
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, controls and overall finance processes.
Requirements
- Degree in Accountancy, Finance or equivalent with previous external audit experience with a Big 4 accounting firm.
- Subsequently gained commercial finance/accounting experience, ideally in a Finance Manager or similar capacity.
- 7+ years of relevant experience across audit and commercial finance.
- Strong financial accounting, reporting and audit experience.
- Good exposure to treasury/cash management and fixed assets.
- Experience in ERP implementation, finance transformation or chart of accounts redesign would be advantageous.
- Strong knowledge of accounting standards and internal controls.
- Strong stakeholder management and team leadership skills.
- Advanced Excel skills; experience with reporting tools and data analytics is a plus.
